About The Crèche

The Crèche accommodates children aged 6 weeks to 5 years and is supervised by fully qualified Nursery Nurses. It is available upon receipt of payment to all customers participating in any activities in the Galleon Centre. Each session in the creche costs 0.37p per 15 minutes, minimum stay 1 hour and maximum stay 3 hours. Customers must remain in the centre with the exception of Gold/Corporate Leisure Card Holders.

• First aid to children and babies as and when necessary.

• Children learn and develop through play.
• Each child develop at his / her own pace.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and babies left in our care.
• Feed, change and clean babies and young children as and when required.
• Clean and maintain all equipment, games and notice boards to acceptable standards.
• Be responsible for children with special needs.

Youth Activity Programme

The Youth Activity Programme has been operating successfully for many years and is reviewed regularly to ensure maximum enjoyment for all participants.

There are 3 clubs available (click on a club for more information):

All Clubs are well structured offering wide and varied programme of activities from (10am - 4pm; Turtles 9:30am-12:30pm; 1pm-4pm) during the Easter, Summer and October holidays. In addition to this the Clubs are available from 10am until 1pm every Saturday.

Registration

Prior to participating in any of the clubs all children must be registered. Registration costs £4.50 for Turtles and £5.70 for Pirates and Shipmates and is valid from 1st January until 31st December.

The Galleon Centre is registered with the Care Commission and complies fully with all regulations.  Staff are screened by way of enhanced checks through Disclosure Scotland.
